Cybyna

by Bridgette O’Brien

‘Cybyna’ demonstrates the potential of digital technologies to disrupt ‘idealistic’ representations of the female gendered body. ‘Cybyna’ does this through a speculative digital interface where images are continuously deconstructed and manipulated based on individualistic desires and actions. Specifically, it speculates upon a process where a user co-creates an embodied visualisation of a vagina. The project imagines a co-creative space between the digital and the human that highlights the ongoing generative capacities of our bodily presentation.
